Henriëtte Viljoen

Henriëtte Viljoen is the founder and Managing Director of Tollserve. Henriëtte attained her BCom degree, specialising in Computer Science, and her BCom (Hons) in Financial Management from the University of Pretoria. The combination of her education in Computer Science and Financial Management fired up a passion for what lies behind a system and how it is translated in financial language.

Her career started in 1990 in system development, specifically in terms of the information and quality of information it provided to its end-users. She quickly excelled in this area and developed formal processes to ensure user requirements are met and that information provided by the various systems are reliable, complete and user-friendly. As an associate and later director at two engineering firms, she managed a team that performed audits and quality assessments on newly developed systems and system enhancements.

She noticed a gap in this area and her career and founded Tollserve to service a number of Clients in the same industry. She transformed Tollserve over time to provide tailor-made solutions to meet the needs of Tollserve’s Clients.

As a result of her proven track record in this area, she was hand-selected to assist in the design and testing and continuous overview of the first ever fully automated open road tolling system.

Her ability to work with complex data, complicated systems and contracts and transforming that information into simple, understandable user-friendly information is one of the reasons why she has been able to provide her Clients with the assurance they need. She is also a full member of the Institute for Internal Auditors.
